  • If people stopped losong their animals this place wouldn't be a kill shelter. Pretty pathetic how people get animals then lose them. Brought a dog in who i was hoping to get re homed. He wasn't adjusting well an they thought they were gonna have to put him down. So instead they allowed me to come get him at no charge. So maybe take care of your animals better when you adopt.

  • I have traveled around the country, and this is possibly the best shelter I have seen! I volunteer for them now, and I know they take great pride in helping each animal find their forever home. The animals are loved.

I used to volunteer at high-kill shelters in Houston, Texas, and this is nothing like them. Euthanasia exists because humans make poor decisions. I wish it weren't so, but at least HERE, it is only an option when all other options are exhausted.

  • Who came up with the change of making the pictures of the animals so small? Really bad for older people with vision problems. Go back to the other format.

Poor customer service, management and policies. I was at the shelter the second time to see cat I wanted to adopt and would have taken home with me. But during my visit they got a call from someone who had never seen the cat that was allowed to place a hold on it. I was not allowed to adopt. Poor policy when there is someone there with the animal. The gals working there said there was nothing they could do about it. Didn't matter I was there. Broke my heart and I will be very hesitant to ever go back to work with those people. Be sure to place a hold on any animal you may be interested. Even before you decide if you want it.
