  • Looking for a church that is passionate about serving the world? Look no further than New Hope. The community at New Hope is a vibrant, biblically-based, Christ-loving community that wishes to be Grace in Action to the local area as well as around the world. Pastor Randy has an amazing heart for God.
Visit "the church across from Walmart" and you will not be disappointed.

  • What a FANTASTIC church! I'm so happy we found this place!

I have been going to New Hope Church for some time now and my first impression was the warmth and friendliness of the people- which we noticed as soon as we walked through the doors for the first time. It was a very welcoming atmosphere for someone coming from a smaller church. The staff are wonderful, the music is great but the sermons and the stance of the church are what keep us coming back. I've visited several churches in the area, and this is one of the most biblically based churches I have been to. Their core beliefs are all based on solid biblical teachings. During the sermons, you spend so much time in the ACTUAL bible-not just some lesson plan where the bible is just mentioned- going thru the verses pertaining to the lesson, which is exactly what we were looking for. The lessons are always relevant to life's situations and I often wonder, "how did the pastor know I was dealing with that?"

This church does tons of outreach and missions work both locally and throughout the world. They actively support many organizations here in the community as well as a huge number of long-term missionaries and short-term missions all over the world.

New Hope always seems to have some new way to serve its members and guests. There's all kinds of groups and classes and such that a person can get connected with and the Church has a huge youth program for all ages from babies all the way up to the college level.

One thing that may affect some people's view is that New Hope has recently gone through some transitions in some areas, and some things are being re-organized to accomodate those transitions. All of them were positive changes and meant to help the church better serve its members and the community. However, that being said, I have never seen a church this size, experience as many changes, some of which are still in the works, in such a short period of time and see it happen as smoothly as it has. To me, that speaks of the staff and volunteers abilities and vision as well as their dedication to serving others. Its also a testament to the strength, love and commitment as well as the satisfaction of the members. It seems that when things in a church are changed, even if for the better, and especially if involving a staff change,a church will lose a lot of members. I've seen this many times. Yet as far as I can tell, the congregation has only grown through it and I continually see new faces and families showing up.

One of the reviewers stated that they weren't happy with the fact that the church doesn't do Communion every Sunday. All I can say to that is that you can't please all of the people all of the time. New Hope believes in Communion and does perform it on a somewhat regular basis-but not for the sake of tradition. From what I have gathered, it isn't done every single Sunday because it isn't meant to be treated as something you do as rote repetition. God doesn't honor tradition for tradition's sake. Instead, it is, as best as I can recollect, done about every quarter. That way it doesn't lose its spiritual significance to a person by becoming just part of a schedule, just something else that's done every Sunday. I like it better that way. It seems to amplify it's spiritual importance more. Communion is a very holy and spiritual experience. It shouldn't be treated as something that's "next on the list".

So those are my opinions. I think New Hope is a fantastic church that is very active, friendly, welcoming and loves the Lord and demonstrates that love in many ways both locally and worldwide. No church is perfect because it is made up of imperfect people, but its faults are far overshadowed by its merits and its love for its people, its community and the world, and its desire to share that love and knowledge of Christ with everyone. I hope you will check it out and see for yourself.

  • A very nice church that has many volunteer options, so that we can serve the Lord.

One thing that we absolutely loved about New Hope was the worship. All the other churches we visited, the music and the drums, in particular were insanely loud. But, I'm unsure of what the reviewer was talking about when they said New Hope was serving the world. We attended at least 10 times over 4 months and it seemed to mainly be a church that served itself. As far as I understood besides the Good Friday outreach, which was very good, there was only one day per year that the church went out into the community. There were no steady groups that I could see that purposely went out to the community on a regular basis. Also there is no communion when the church is purposely together on Sunday. It is only available on 1st Wednesday which is an optional time for people to come together for worship. We were sorry to leave, but need more connection with people and Biblical principles.
